Minnie P. Wise

Minnie Pearl Wise died peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 7, 2002, in Elk Grove.
She was 63 years old.

She was born on March 19, 1939, in South Carolina and was fortunate enough to
have the opportunity to travel the world before settling down in Davis, where
worked at Holmes Junior High School for 19 years. She touched the hearts of
faculty, students and parents and was happy to include each and every one of
them as her extended family.

She is survived by her mother Hazel and sister Margaret of South Carolina; two
sons; Ulysses Jr. of Sacramento and Lionel Jerome of Tokyo, Japan; her daughter,
Michelle of Elk Grove; her two grandchildren, Lacresha, and Da'Jon of Arizona;
and her former husband, Ulysses Sr. of Moore, Okla.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Mayhew Community
Baptist Church, 3401 Routier Road in Sacramento.
