M. Yvonne Camuso

M. Yvonne Camuso, a longtime resident of Barrington, R.I., died Aug. 9, 2002, at
Grace Barker Nursing Center in Warren, R.I. She was 89.

Born in Matane, Quebec, Canada, she was the second child of Georgina (LaPierre)
and Luc LeMieux. Schooled in Quebec, she was an accomplished pianist.

She married Basillio P. Camuso of Warren, R.I., in 1938; they lived in
Barrington for more than 40 years. A member of St. Alexander's Church, she sang
in the choir for more than 30 years. She enjoyed music, handwork, travel and her
family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and a sister.

She leaves three sons and one daughter, Pasquale Camuso and his wife Suzanne of
Orlando, Fla., Leonard Camuso and his wife Carole of Davis, Andrew Camuso of
East Providence, R.I., and Vivian Olson and her husband Jerry of Norwich, Conn.;
four grandchildren, Yvette Mulholland of Davis, James Stanley of New York, N.Y.,
Elaine Camuso-Wallace of San Diego and Daniel Camuso of Santa Barbara; and two
great-granddaughters, Rachel M. Turner and Jessie Mulholland, both of Davis.

She also is survived by a brother, George Maltais of North Dartmouth, Mass.;
four sisters, Yvette M. Perry of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Florence Codier of Fall
River, Mass., Rhea Lamontagne of North Dartmouth, Mass., and Beatrice Carpentier
of Fall River, Mass.; and a multitude of nieces and nephews along with close
members of the Camuso family in Warren.

A funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home,
615 Main St. in Warren, R.I., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Mary of the Bay Church on Main Street in Warren.

Burial will be at a later date.
