William D. Hawkins

William Daniel Hawkins died suddenly on Aug. 3, 2002, at his home in Davis. He
was 16 years old.

A student at Davis High School, he was born at Woodland Memorial Hospital on
Oct. 10, 1985.

He will be missed by his family and many good friends. He loved animals, music
and playing roller hockey, and made several backpacking trips to the mountains
where he loved to see the stars. Skateboarding was his favorite activity. He
mastered new school grinds and board slides.

He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Deborah Hawkins, and sister, Caroline
Hawkins, all of Davis; grandfather, George Hawkins of Crescent City ;and
grandmother, Maureen Wolfe of Foster City.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Martin's Episcopal
Church, 640 Hawthorn Lane in Davis. Donations may be made in his memory to the
Yolo County SPCA.
