Virginia R. Grunwald

Virginia Rose Grunwald died July 20, 2002, at the Cottonwood Healthcare Facility
in Woodland. She was 80 years old.

She was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Vienna, Mo., to the late John and Elizabeth Ann
Schwartz.

She was a resident of Yolo County for the past 12 years. A homemaker all of her
adult life, she enjoyed needlework and reading. While living at the Courtside
Towers in Woodland, she especially liked playing cards and relished opporunities
to take trips with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Bradley Grunwald and his wife Nancy of
Woodland, William Grunwald and his wife Cathy of Lake Oswego, Ore., Robert
Grunwald and his wife Lorraine of Antioch, Carolyn A. Doyle and her husband Pat
of Antioch and Marilyn Davis and her husband Kurt of San Jose. Ten grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren also survive her.

Other survivors include siblings Jean Dyn and Edward Schwartz both of Missouri
as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at McNary's Chapel in Woodland.
A memorial Mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Woodland.
