Born Nov. 21, 1927, in Grass Valley, Mrs. LaNotte lived in Colfax for the first 18 years of her life graduating from Placer Union High School and received her BA and teaching credential from Chico State College. She retired from teaching in 1988. She was a member of Shakespeare Club, California Retired Teachers Association, Woodland Democratic Club, American Association of University Women, Woodland Opera House, Woodland Care Car, and Yolo County Historical Society. Survivors include her children, Bart Hardenbrook of Woodland, Andrea Bjerke and husband John and Bob Hardenbrook and wife Bridget of Rolling Hills Estates; and grandchildren, Brooke, Katy and Erica Bjerke and Skylar and Leah Hardenbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick LaNotte. The family requests memorials be directed to Woodland Opera House; The Endowment Fund of CRTA; or to Yolo Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of McNary's Chapel of Woodland. Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2004, at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland.
