Victor A. Porter Jr.

Victor Allen Porter Jr. died unexpectedly on July 20, 2002, in Dunnigan at the
age of 10. He was born on Sept. 16, 1991, to Linda D. James and the late Victor
Allen Porter Sr. in Richmond.

He had lived in Dunnigan for the past eight years. He attended Arbuckle
Elementary School and would have entered the sixth grade in the fall. He played
Little League baseball and played the trumpet as a member of the school's band.

He is survived by his mother, Linda James of Oakland; sisters, Victoria Porter
and Tanisha Porter, both of Dunnigan, and Lashona Ingraham and Terisha Johnson,
both of Oakland; brothers, Michael Porter of Dunnigan, and William McCoy and
Kenneth Lewis, both of Oakland; and paternal grandparents, Geraldine Johnson and
her husband Eddie of Dunnigan. Also surviving him are numerous aunts, uncles,
cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at McNary's Chapel on Monday from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with
a funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at the Greater Second Baptist Church in Woodland.
