Thomas 'Jerry' Young

Thomas "Jerry" Young died in Oregon City, Saturday, March 27, 2004, at age 73.

Born April 7, 1930, in Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. Young resided in Woodland for 19
years. He resided in Oregon since 1989. He graduated from Sandy, Oregon High
School and from Fresno State University. He worked for Cal West Seeds for 28
years ad operations manager. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Carla (Petersen) Young; daughters,
Glenda L. Young, Cheryl D. Young, and Lori J. Schryver; son, Mark D. Young;
stepsons, Cary S. Beck and Joel A. Beck; eight grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his brother, Jack Young.

The family requests memorials be directed to Heart Program at Providence St.,
Vincent Medical Foundation, 9205 SW Barnes Road, Portland, Ore. 97225.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Chapel of Oregon City.

Services: A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at
Monument Memorial Park, Woodland. There will be a celebration of his life at a
later date in Oregon City, Ore.
