Elizabeth N. Barrow

Elizabeth Nelson Barrow of Davis died unexpectedly on May 29, 2002, in Davis.
She was 75.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1926, in Artesia, N.M. After high school, she attended
a secondary school for girls in Lubbock, Texas.

In 1944, she was crowned Miss Roswell in New Mexico. She also volunteered as a
"Rosie the Riveter" during World War II.

Her interests included her family and her children. Her family has this personal
message to impart: "In every heart she touched, in every life she changed, in
every thought she inspired, her love lives on. Forever."

She is survived by her brother Renold Nelson of Davis; sister Marjorie Graham of
Davis; her two sons Ronald Barrow of Rancho Murietta and Thomas Barrow of Santa
Clara; and her two daughters Janice Roche of Sacramento and Elizabeth Sue
McDermott of Davis.

She is also survived by grandchildren Brett and Shane Barrow, Jennifer Perkins,
Edward and Alissa Bernacchi, and Tara and Michael McDermott. She is further
survived by great-grandchildren Ian and Sophia Perkins, and James and Nathan
Barrow.

An open casket viewing will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Davis
Funeral Chapel, 116 D St., Davis. A graveside service will begin at noon Tuesday
at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road, Davis. Following this service will be
a gathering for all at the Davis Community Church Fireside Room, 412 C St., Davis.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, friends are asked to send contributions to the
Older Adult Program of Yolo County Mental Health, 14 N. Cottonwood St.,
Woodland, CA 95695.
