Vincent F. Cardenas

Vincent Franco Cardenas of Woodland died May 20, 2002, at Sutter Davis Hospital.
He was 46.

He was born in Woodland on Nov. 5, 1955, to Ascension Cardenas and the late
Manuel Cardenas. He was a lifelong resident of Woodland.

He was a truck driver, and last worked for Topete Trucking. He loved to travel
and he collected miniature sailboats.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Manuela Cardenas.

He is survived by his mother, who lives in Woodland; sisters, Mary Reyna of
Gridley and Susan Cardenas of Woodland; nieces, Mary Reyna of Woodland, Aurora
Betancourt of Richmond and Manuela Reyna of Oakland; nephews, Adalberto
Betancourt of Richmond and Israel Anaya of Woodland; uncle, Robert Macias and
his wife Mela of Woodland; and aunt, Katie Macias of Woodland.

He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

A vigil will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Rosary Church, 503 California
St., Woodland. The funeral mass will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Holy
Rosary Church, with interment following at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
