Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net September 2, 2004, 7:44 pm "The Davis Enterprise," Thursday May 2, 2002 Marion P. Miller Marion Pauline Miller of Davis died on April 28, 2002, in Davis. She was 87. She was born in Scotia, N.Y., on Sept. 28, 1914, to Agnes and Einer Christensen. Her family moved to Oakland when she was 9 years old. She graduated from Castlemont High School in 1931. At the age of 18, she moved to Hawaii, where she met Milton A. Miller. They married in 1941, and were married for 60 years until his death in 2001. In 1941, the couple moved to San Diego, where their first son, Lauren, was born in 1943. They moved to Davis in 1944, when her husband joined the faculty of the zoology department at UC Davis. A second son, Richard, was born in 1947. She was involved with health issues and did volunteer work with the Well Baby Clinic. She was a consummate homemaker and had an encyclopedic command of medical and nutritional information. She loved travel and adventure, and her travels took her to Bermuda, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Scotland and Hawaii. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her generous and kind spirit and her joie de vivre. She is survived by her sons, Lauren, of Vancouver, and Richard, of El Dorado. Friends of Marion and Milton Miller are invited to a celebratory remembrance of both of their lives that will take place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the family home at 639 A St., Davis.
