Virginia Ruth Rourke Moss

Virginia Ruth Rourke Moss died peacefully at her home in Diamond Bar on April 7,
2002. Born Dec. 13, 1921, in Lajord, Saskatchewan, Canada, and raised in Davis,
she was 80.

She graduated from Davis High School in 1940 and lived in San Francisco for 30
years.

Popo, as she was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will be
remembered for her unending kindness, patience and immense generosity. She loved
her garden and providing for the wild birds and other animals that visited it.

She worked hard, without complaint, and remained wholly self-sufficient and
independent. She traveled to every continent and loved to listen to others' tales.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael Moss.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Dan Pagee; son,
Matthew Moss and his friend Margean Burg; daughter-in-law Pat Pulvurenti;
grandsons, Jim Pagee, Shawn Pagee and his wife Miriam; great-grandsons, Teddy
and Michael Pagee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gar and Rita Rourke, Cal and
Portia Rourke and Herb and Catherine Rourke; as well as many nieces, nephews and
friends.

"Jin's cooking, hospitality and her little giggle will be missed by all who had
the good fortune of knowing her," said her brother, Herb Rourke.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St.
in downtown Davis. Interment will be at the Davis Cemetery.

Donations in her name may be made to the Boy Scouts of America and/or the Kidney
Cancer Association, 1234 Sherman Ave., Suite 203, Evanston, IL 60202.
