Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net June 3, 2004, 11:43 am Woodland "Daily Democrat," Monday, March 15, 2004 Harold Lawrence Swank Harold Lawrence Swank died at Sutter Davis Hospital Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at age 74. Born March 10, 1929, in East Dallas, Pa., Harold was a resident of Vacaville for 37 years. Harold worked as a quality control inspector for explosive technology for 25 years. He had a passion for dancing, corney humor and bar tricks, Western clothing, including hats covered with pins and cowboy boots. In recent years he enjoyed jazz festivals, and helping with the music from the backroom band at the Davis Senior Center. Friends too numerous to list, will miss this special man. He was a Past Master of Suisun Lodge No. 55, F&AM; Past High Priest of Solano Chapter No. 43; Past and Present Commander of Vacaville Commandery No. 38; Illustrious Master of Amador Council No. 31; Past President of Montezuma Shrine Club; Past and Present President of Scottish Rite Club; Member of Ben Ali Shriners; Member of Sacramento Scottish Rite; Member of the Order of the Eastern Star; Past and Present President of Eagles; Member of the Vallejo Moose Lodge No. 468; and Member of the Elks Lodge No. 2638 of Vacaville. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Barker and husband Joe of Carlsbad, N.M.; son, William Swank and wife Jackie of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren, Ashley and Will of Norfolk, Va.; first wife, Joyce Holland of Charlotte, N.C.; loving companion and dance partner, Phyllis Newton of Woodland; and numerous cousins in Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his second wife Frances Swank of Fairfield. The family requests memorials be directed to Shriners Children's Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, Ca. 95817. A memorial service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Masonic Temple, 412 Travis Blvd., Fairfield. Inurnment will be conducted privately.
