Yetta Shmarak

Yetta Shmarak of Folsom died on March 16, 2002, at Folsom Convalescent Hospital.
She was 93.

She was born on May 26, 1908, in Brooklyn. She lived in Davis from 1974 to 1989,
and found the people and activities of the community to be the joy of her golden
years.

During her time in Davis, she volunteered at the UC Davis Medical Center's gift
shop in Sacramento, and at the gift shop at the Jewish Fellowship in Davis,
which is now known as the Congregation Bet Haverim Jewish Fellowship of Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Sidney Shmarak, who died
in 1973.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Sandra Shmarak of
Folsom, and Dr. Kenneth and Suzanne Shmarak of West Bloomfield, Mich.; four
grandchildren, Stacey Young of Folsom, Corey Shmarak of Encino, Marci Ben Moche
of West Bloomfield and Michael Shmarak of Chicago; and four great-grandchildren,
Jacob and Brandon Young of Folsom and Erin and Adam Ben Moche of West Bloomfield.

Interment was in Michigan, beside her beloved husband.

Remembrances may be made to the Jewish Family Services of Sacramento, 1333 Howe
Ave., Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95825.
