Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net September 12, 2004, 1:28 am "The Davis Enterprise," Monday, March 18, 2002 Albert Joseph DeMartini Albert Joseph DeMartini of Woodland died surrounded by his family on March 15, 2002, at the Woodland Memorial Hospital. He was 81 years old. He was born on Aug. 24, 1920, in San Francisco. A native of North Beach in San Francisco, he attended Salesian's Boys School and Galileo High School. Before moving to Yolo County, he worked and was a shareholder of the San Francisco Scavenger Association. He loved to farm, hunt and play golf. He was one of the founders of The Italians vs. the World Golf Tournament, a popular event since 1964 at the Yolo Fliers Club. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Italian Catholic Federation. He loved people, and he will be remembered as a honest and loving person by his many friends. He lived a full life and will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elsye Giusti DeMartini; four children, Diane DeMartini-Naekel, Joan Warren, Laura Sachs and Bret DeMartini; 10 grandchildren, Julie Mifsud, Amy Conn, Kristen Tadlock, Marcus Klinkhammer, Elizabeth Thompson, Matthew Warren, Daniel Sachs, David Sachs, Francis DeMartini and Giuliano DeMartini; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sons-in-law, Garry Warren and Jim Naekel; and a daughter-in-law, Cindy DeMartini. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. The Rosary will recited at 7 p.m. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 503 California St., Woodland. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Child Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; The Salesian's Boys Club of San Francisco, 680 Filbert St., San Francisco, CA 94133; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
