WRIGHT Joseph William Wright of Vacaville died on March 17, 2002, at VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville. He was 57. Born Nov. 24, 1944, in Bakersfield, he graduated from Davis High School in 1963. He was known to everyone as "Joe Bigtime," and was a barber for 28 years in Davis. Recently, he worked at Vacaville's The Hub Barbershop. He was also a published writer and poet. He was a friend to all, his family said, and a kind and compassionate man who always had a great story to tell. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Grace Wright of Vacaville; a son, John Lewis Wright of Davis; and stepsons Eric Rios and Cesar Rios of the Bay Area. He is also survived by a brother, John Wright of Woodland; and two sisters, Cecilia Scott of Woodland and Virginia Simons of Ventura. A Catholic prayer service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St. in Vacaville. Deacon John King of St. Peter's Catholic Church will preside. For directions to the service, call (707) 448-6546. A celebration-of-life gathering in his memory will take place on Saturday, April 6, at "The Barn" in Woodland.
