Marie Carbahal Lopez

Marie Carbahal Lopez passed away on Oct. 31, 2000.  Born on August 9, 1922, she
was 78 years old.

Mrs. Carbahal worked as a floor supervisor at Tufts Packing Shed.  She was in
the fruit packing business for 50 years.  A 1941 graduate of Winters High
School, she was a member of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church and the Lady’s Guild.

She is survived by her spouse of 54 years, Sebastian Lopez of Winters; children
Sebastian Lopez and wife Peggy of Marysville, Michael Lopez, and Gloria Lopez
and her husband Michael Autry of Winters; grandchildren Erin Autry of Boston,
Massachusetts, Brett Autry of Eugene Oregon, Matthew Lopez of Yuba City, and
Cory Lopez of Winters; sisters Juanita Carrion of Arbuckle and Alice Estepa of
Vacaville; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her
brothers, John and Mike Carbahal.

Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Lopez on Friday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. at
Smith’s Colonial Chapel.  A visitation is planned for Thursday, Nov. 2, from 4-8
p.m. at Smith’s Colonial Chapel.  Burial is planned at the Winters Cemetery. 
Pastor Frank Anderson will preside over the services.  Memorial donations may be
made in Mrs. Lopez’ name to the American Diabetes Association.
