Rose Lombard Gerry

Memorial service for Rose Lombard Gerry

A memorial service was held recently at First Presbyterian Church in Rochester,
Minnesota, for Rose Lombard Gerry, 96.  Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in
Rochester.  Mrs. Gerry was born in Wykoff, Minnesota, Jan. 6, 1894. She died in
Woodland, California, March 12, 1990.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Gerry was employed as a registered nurse at St.
Mary’s Hospital and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.  She married Edgar Gerry in
Rochester in 1917.  They homesteaded in Glasgow, Montana, and raised their
children there.  She moved to Winters four years ago and was a resident of
Woodland at the time of her death.  

She is survived by a daughter, Joan Fredericks of Winters; six grandchildren,
eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Beth Witz of Delray Beach, Florida, and Nona
Henry of Plattsville, Wisconsin.  She was preceded in death by her husband, who
died in 1968; a daughter, Nadean Danielson; a son, James Lombard Gerry, one
sister and two brothers.

The family suggests that memorials can be made to the Pioneer Presbyterian
Church, 202 Russell Street, Winters, or to the donor’s favorite charity.
