Ann Elena Merchant

Elena Merchant services held Tuesday

Memorial services for Ann Elena Merchant, 87, were held Tuesday morning in the
Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Winters.  Rev. John Reimers and Rev. Sue Fleenor
officiated at the services.

Mrs. Merchant, a 65-year resident of Winters, died in a Sacramento hospital on
January 13.  She and her husband owned a ranch in the Buckeye district, where
they resided until ill health necessitated the move to Sacramento.

Survivors are her husband, George Elmer; daughters, Barbara Jean McMurray,
Beverly Leggett and Carol Johnson; son, George E. Jr.; brothers, Harold and
Leslie Waggoner; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family requests that any remembrances be made to Pioneer Presbyterian Church
Memorial Fund.
