Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net September 17, 2004, 12:36 am “Winters Express,” Thursday, January 19, 1984 Everett Sidwell Everett Sidwell services Friday Graveside services will be held Friday, January 20, in the Winters Cemetery at 1 p.m. for Everett Sidwell, 84, who died in a convalescent hospital in Pleasanton January 17. The Rev. Sue Fleenor of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church will conduct the services. Born in Woodland on December 12, 1899, he was reared and lived for many years in Winters before he went elsewhere to seek employment. After his retirement, he moved back to Winters and had lived here until he went to the convalescent hospital six months ago. Mr. Sidwell was an active member of the Winters Senior Citizens Club and of the Christian Church, which later merged with the Pioneer Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his wife, Adela, a resident of the Pleasanton Convalescent Hospital; a son and daughter-in-law Jim and Doris Sidwell of Livermore; a grandson, Steve, and his wife, Patti, and two children, all of Oregon; two sisters, Violet Scott and Mae Ireland, both of Winters. The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the building fund of the Pioneer Presbyterian Church, 205 Russell Street, Winters, or to the Winters Senior Citizens Club.
