Svea Nelson

Memorial service held for Svea Nelson

Private memorial services were held Saturday for Svea Nelson, 90, who died
November 25.  John Griffin officiated.

A native of Sweden, she came to the U.S. with her husband, Nils C. Nelson in
1924, and lived in New Jersey and Maine, prior to retiring in Winters and Woodland.

Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Day Spring Lodge No. 175, Order of the Eastern
Star; Maple Grange No. 559; the Farm Bureau and the Parsonsfield-Porter
Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband Nils, of Woodland; son Lennart N. Nelson of
Springfield, Va.; daughter MajBritt Hapworth of Winters; grandchildren Lawren
and Alison Hapworth of Winters, and Roger, Dominic, John, Bridgette and Eric
Nelson, all of Springfield, Va.; and a great grandson.
