Donald Norbert Morrison 

Services held Monday for Donald Morrison

Memorial services were held Monday at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church for Donald
Norbert Morrison who died on Thursday, March 21, in the David Grant USAF Medical
Center at Travis Air Force Base.  He was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, on July
29, 1925, and was 65 years of age.  Private cremation took place under the
direction of Smith’s Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Morrison lived in Winters for the last four years.  He served in the U.S.
Navy for seven years and then served for 20 years in the U.S. Army.  After his
military career he worked for 20 years as a teletype repairman for the Southern
Pacific Railroad Communication Division in Oakland.

Mr. Morrison operated the Winters Food Closet and also a member of the Yolo
County Coalition Against Hunger.

He is survived by his wife, Florence A. Morrison of Winters, and his mother,
Pearl Morrison of Bremerton, Washington.  Also surviving are eight children: 
Linda Sullivan, Jeffery Morrison, Donald Ross Morrison, Jayne Hall and Colleen
Morrison, all of Winters, and Jack Morrison, Charles Morrison and Steven
Morrison, all of Hayward.  He is also survived by brother, Dale Morrison of Port
Orchard, Washington; two sisters, Barbara Lee of Port Orchard, Washington, and
Eileen Garrison of Bremerton, Washington; and 11 grandchildren.

The family requests that any memorials be donations in his memory to the
American Cancer Society.
