Maria Teresa Ramos 

Maria Teresa Ramos dies March 2 at age 78

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered yesterday, Wednesday, at St. Anthony’s
Catholic Church for Maria Teresa Ramos who died in an Arbuckle rest home on
March 2.  Burial followed in the Winters Cemetery.  The rosary was recited at
Smith’s Colonial Chapel on Tuesday evening.  She was born in Marchal, Spain, on
July 29, 1912, and was 78 years of age.

Mrs. Ramos was a homemaker for the last 63 years and came from Spain to Winters
in 1948, living in Winters for 40 years until 1988 when she moved to Arbuckle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Ramos Lopez, who died in Davis on
Oct. 24, 1987.  She was also preceded in death by a son, John R. Ramos, who died
in Winters on Oct. 27, 1986, and a grandson, Bobby Martinez, who died in Fort
Bragg on June 25, 1979.

She is survived by two children:  Joe L. Ramos of El Grove and Isabel Martinez
of Arbuckle; one brother Jose Ramos of Marchal, Spain; and two sisters Beatrice
Ramos and Natila Ramos both of Marchal, Spain.  Also surviving are seven
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
