Archie Constant Funeral services were held at McNary’s Chapel, Wednesday for the Rev. Archie Constant who died in Woodland, March 1. Burial followed in the Winters Cemetery. A native of Melbourne, Arkansas, he was 93. Rev. Constant was a resident of Yolo County for 50 years. He was an ordained minister and a carpenter all his adult life. He was a member of the Carpenters Union 180 in Vallejo and 560 in Sacramento. He was a member of the National Rife Association. Rev. Constant is survived by five sons: Talmage Constant, Winters; Louis Constant, Woodland; Charley Constant, Lebanon, Oregon; Earl Constant, Cottonwood; and Leamon Constant, Woodland. He is also survived by two daughters, Retha Rooker, Fairfield, and Daphine Pangburn, Cottonwood; 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
