Tingley Dorothy Ilene (Inman) Tingley died May 21, 2004, at Alderson's Convalescent Hospital in Woodland. She was 95. Born April 18, 1909, at Oolitic, Ind., she became a Yolo County resident in 1995. She was the daughter of the late Gideon Waldo Inman and Josie Franklin (Wible) Inman of La Junta, Colo. She was employed by Holly Sugar in Swink, Colo., where she met her future husband, Robert. Married in Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1930, they moved to California in 1935 as Robert continued his 44 years of service to Holly in Sacramento, Pleasanton, Hamilton City, Chico, Stockton and San Mateo. They returned to Colorado where he completed his service to Holly in 1969. Following retirement, the Tingleys returned to California to live in Stockton, Davis and Woodland. She was a member of PEO, a philanthropic and educational organization for women, for more than 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert James Tingley I, who died in Davis on Feb. 6, 1996. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Carol and Hal Sconyers of Davis, Don and Margaret Tingley of Woodland, and Bill and Sally Tingley of Pasadena. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her sister Bette Freeman of Chico and her brother Robert Inman of Denver. Kraft Bros. of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements. Private interment will be at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo County. A memorial service is pending, and friends and family will be notified. The family requests that memorials be directed to the PEO Education Loan Fund, Treasurer of Chapter FS, Mary Hamilton, 3519 Gleneagles Drive, Stockton, CA 95219.
