Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net October 4, 2004, 11:13 pm “Winters Express,” Thursday, March 15, 1990 Alvin Henry Unruh Rites held for Alvin Unruh Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Davis Funeral Chapel for Alvin Henry Unruh, 78, who died in the Woodland Memorial Hospital on March 9, 1990. Rev. Keith Knauf, pastor of the Winters Pioneer Presbyterian Church officiated, and burial followed in the Davis Cemetery. A native of South Dakota, he was a graduate of the Moler Barber College, and operated a barber shop in Winters for 6 years. The shop was located on Main Street, and he succeeded the late Bill Wynes. He and his wife moved to Davis in 1978. The deceased was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgewater, South Dakota, and his survived by his wife, M. Lucille Unruh, of Davis; two children, Iris Castro-Hamilton, of Brownsville…. (I do not have the have the rest of the article. That part was cut off years ago.)
