William G. Brinck

Private services today for William G. Brinck

Private funeral services will be held this afternoon in Smith’s Colonial Chapel
here for William George Brinck Sr., 85, who died Sunday in the Sutter Davis
Hospital.

A native of Winters, he was born November 6, 1904, was a graduate of Winters
High School with the class of 1927, and was a lifelong rancher and
agribusinessman.  In addition to farming extensively, he was a packer and
shipper of apricots, peaches and plums.  Mr. Brinck also served as president of
the Winters Service Club and later the Winters District Chamber of Commerce.

Following his retirement in 1978, he moved to Vacaville, and later to Davis.

He is survived by his widow, Geraldine Bryte “Jincy” Brinck, of Davis; sons of
William George Brinck Jr., of Davis and John Michael Brinck, of Honolulu,
Hawaii, and seven grandchildren:  Mrs. Clifford “Sue” Malone of Diablo, Peter
Brinck of Rancho Santa Fe, Mrs. John Neilson “Jincy” of San Jose, Mrs. Gregory
Chovanas “Betsy” of Orinda, Mrs. Richard Sterr “Mollie” of Grosse Point Farms,
Michigan, Michael Brinck of Brentwood, and Alexis Brinck of Honolulu.

There are seven great grandchildren.  Ms. Harriet Burt of Martinez is a niece
and Fred Burt of Concord is a nephew.  Mrs. Virginia Sparks Bryce of Vacaville
and Mrs. Alice Sparks Vest of Sacramento are cousins.

Private burial rites will be at the Brinck family plot in the Winters Cemetery.
