Milton W. Winberg

Milton Winberg died May 25, 2004, in Davis. Born Sept. 29, 1910, in Fairhope,
Ala., to Charles and Fern Winberg, he was 93 years old.

A 50-year resident of New York, he was employed for 30 years as a stationary
engineer with the New York City Board of Education. He was a member of Local 891
of the International Union of Operating Engineers, for which he served as
borough chair. He and his wife retired to California in 1972.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy. He is also survived by two
sons, James and his wife Barbara of Geneva, Switzerland, and Charles and his
wife Judithanne of Davis; and daughter, Dorothy Ross and her husband Bill of
Davis. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to a memorial service at 10 a.m. in Monday at St. Francis
Church, 1066 26th St. in Sacramento.
