Irene Frances Rowley

Irene Rowley passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at Sutter Davis Hospital in
Davis.  Born on March 9, 1904 in San Francisco, California, she was 96 years old.

Mrs. Rowley was raised in San Francisco where she graduated from high school and
Heald Business College.  She lived in San Mateo for many years before moving to
Winters 25 years ago.  She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and YLI.

Mrs. Rowley is survived by her daughter Honore Eldridge and husband Jack of
Winters; grandchildren, Nora White and husband Scott of Auburn, Mike Eldridge
and wife Alison of Winters and Sean Eldridge and wife Roselynd of Winters; six
great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in
death by her parents Michael and Honora Cogley, a son Michael Rowley and a
grandson Dennis Eldridge.

An evening vigil service was held on Thursday, June 29, at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony
Catholic Church in Winters.  The funeral mass was held on Friday, June 30, at 10
a.m. at St. Anthony.  Father Joseph Ternullo celebrated the mass.  Rosie Lucero
was the soloist accompanied by Andrew Gilmore on the organ.  Pallbearers were
all family members.  Burial followed the services at the Winters Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Smith’s Colonial Chapel in Winters.
