Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net October 8, 2004, 7:54 pm “Winters Express,” Thursday, April 27, 2000 Joseph Madison Williams A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 22 at the Winters Opera House for Joe Williams, who died of lung cancer in his home on Tuesday, April 18. Born on July 11, 1947, he was 52 years old. Mr. Williams was a longtime resident of Winters, and worked as a subforeman at Pacific Gas and Electric for 29 years. He was a Vietnam war veteran and an accomplished blues guitar and bass player. He is survived by his son and daughter, Brian and Kali, of Winters; sister, Kathleen Marney of North Vancouver, BC, and her children, Jacinda, Robert and Sean; brother, Jim Williams of Turlock, and his children, Dianne, Jackie, Robert, and Katie; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and life-long friends, Tom and Mary Bell, of Concord and La Mesa, California.
