“Winters Express,” Thursday, April 13, 2000
Dorothy D. Cummings 

Dorothy D. Cummings passed away on April 8, 2000 in Edina, Minnesota after a
brief illness.  She was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on October 23, 1919.

Dorothy lived in Winters for a few years after retiring from 28 years of service
with the Teamsters.  She moved back to Minnesota to be with her growing numbers
of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin, and sons, Ronald and Dean.  

She is survived by daughters Armella Walsh (William) of Virginia Beach, Virginia
Anita of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and David (Louise Gale-Cummings) of Winters; 11
grandchildren, including Katelyn, Andrew and John Cummings of Winters; and 16
great-grandchildren.

A wake was held on Sunday, April 9, from 7-9 p.m., at the Burnsville Mortuary,
in Burnsville, Minnesota.  Internment was on Monday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at the
Burnsville Cemetery.
