Florence C. Savage

Florence Charlotte Savage died on May 16, 2004, surrounded by her loving family.

Known to her family and friends as Flo, she was born on Easter Sunday, April 20,
1925, to Florence and Francis Myers in Liverpool, England.

On April 10, 1943, she married Harold James Savage, who was serving in the Royal
British Navy stationed in Liverpool.

The couple and their four children immigrated to the United States in 1954,
settling in Oxnard. She spent many happy years as a homemaker and loving mother
while assisting her husband in the family business. During retirement she
traveled the country as she and Harold vacationed in their motor home.

In 2002 they moved to Davis, where she enriched the lives at Covell Gardens and
University Retirement Community with her quick wit and beautiful smile, her
family said.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Harold; son, Frank Savage and
his wife Cheryl of Oxnard; and two daughters, Pamela Slatten and her husband
John of Littleton, Colo., and Susan Savage-Michel and her husband William of
Medford, Ore. She was a wonderful grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Terrence and Kenneth
Myers, both of Liverpool, England; and, many nieces and nephews.

The extended family gathered at the home of Ann Davis on on Wednesday to
celebrate her life as an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be sent to
Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, CA 95617.
