Pine, 67, of Vacaville was held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCune Garden Chapel. The Rev. Keith Knauf officiated. Burial followed in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Mr. Pine died April 30, 2000, in Menlo Park. Born Dec. 29, 1931, in Sacramento, he worked for the state Department of Justice as a special agent for 25 years. He was a member of the Woodland Elks, and he also enjoyed karate and hiking with his fiancee, Miluse Mladek of Sunnyvale. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and good friend. Mr. Pine is survived by his fiancee; sons, Craig of Crest Line, Eric of Midland, Michigan; grandson, Kirk of Crest Line; granddaughters, Heather and Holly of Farewell, Michigan; cousins, John and David, both of Sacramento, Benny of Elk Grove; and his former wife, Geri Gonzalez of Vacaville.
