Inurnment will be private. Born July 5, 1906 in Winters, Mrs. Barty died May 5, 1999, in Vacaville at Windsor House Convalescent Hospital. Mrs. Barty lived in Winters until she married Anthony M. Barty, and moved to the family ranch in English Hills where they lived until 1937 when their property fell victim to the Depression. The family moved into the city limits of Vacaville where Mrs. Barty worked as a waitress in the early years of the Nut Tree. She also worked for many years at the Vacaville Post Office, retiring in 1954 to take care of her grandchildren. She had the pleasure of serving as a hostess at the Harbison House at the Nut Tree in the early 1980s. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and gardening. Mrs. Barty is survived by her daughter-in-law, June Barty; grandchildren, Kevin Barty and Trish Vieira, great-grandchildren, Anthony Barty, Vance Barty, Jacob Barty, Gina Vieira, Jessie Vieira and Dawn Vieira; niece Lurline Stith, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony M. Barty, and son, Donell A. Barty. The family requests that contributions be made in Orzilah’s memory to their favorite charities or Windsor House Convalescent Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.
