Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net October 13, 2004, 11:55 pm “Winters Express,” Thursday, June 8, 2000 James Moriel, Jr. James Moriel, Jr. passed away on June 6, 2000 in Sacramento after a brief illness. Born in Vacaville on Oct. 4, 1932, he was 67 years old. Mr. Moriel was a Winters resident for the past 10 years. He taught in the Morland School District, San Jose Unified School district and was an administrator for the San Jose School District. He was a rancher in Winters and Dixon for 31 years. Mr. Moriel was the director of the Solano County Farm Bureau, former director of the Ulatis Resource Conservation District and an alumni of San Jose State. He enjoyed golfing and farming. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bobbie of Winters; mother Lola Moriel of Vacaville; sister Virginia Lopez and her husband Joe of Vacaville; sister-in-law Ada Dito of Vacaville and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street, in Vacaville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9 at 1 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at the Elmira Cemetery in Vacaville. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Moriel’s memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children, Northern California, P.O. Box 21-4477, Sacramento, CA 95821-0477. Also, the National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Englewood, Colorado, 80112-3747. Arrangements are made under the direction of McCune Garden Chapel.
