Eleonore K. Heyden

Eleonore K. Heyden, former resident of Davis, died May 11, 2004, in the home of
her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Lyle Mills of Woodland, with whom she had
been living. She was 95 years old.

She was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on April 25, 1908, to Gustav and Marie
Kistner. She moved to Southern California in 1941 where she and her husband
raised their family.

She was very active with volunteer work in her church. She remained involved
after her move to Davis in 1982, where she became a devoted member of Our Faith
Lutheran Church, by helping with the Sunday bulletins and phone calling. She
continued helping with the church bulletins until one month before her death.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, her family says.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Walter Heyden, on Sept.
21, 1983.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Mills and her husband Lyle of Woodland;
and son, Walter Heyden and his wife Gail of Southern California. She enjoyed
many special and happy moments with her six grandchildren, 19
great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

A funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D St.
Interment will follow at the Davis Cemetery, 820 Pole Line Road.
