David N. Miller

David Nelson Miller died in Citrus Heights on May 3, 2004. He was 56 years old.

Born Feb. 24, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo., he attended C.K. McClatchy High School
in Sacramento and UC Davis. He lived in San Francisco and New York City, but was
a longtime resident of Sacramento.

A lifelong artist, he was also a carpenter and chef. His art had been exhibited
numerous times in Sacramento, Chicago, San Francisco and New York City.

His family will remember him as a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and
friend.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Marc Miller; and, his father, John Miller.

He is survived by his mother, Melba Miller of Citrus Heights; brother, John
Miller and his wife Katherine of Davis; brother, Evan Miller of Elk Grove; and
sister, Susan Miller of Davis.

He is also survived by two nephews, John and Andrew Miller of Davis; close
family friends, Shelly Maita and her daughter Carly; uncles and aunts, Ed and
Shirley Nelson of Lincoln, and Dick and Velma McGee of Sacramento; and, many
loving cousins.

His family and friends will miss his wit, sense of humor, art, easy laugh and
berets.

A private inurnment is planned for a later date at East Lawn Sierra Hills, 5757
Greenback Lane in Sacramento. A celebration of his life will be held in the near
future.
