Crystal Renee De Leon Martinez

Crystal Renee De Leon Martinez died unexpectedly in Sacramento Tuesday, Jan. 8,
2002, at age 25.

Born Oct. 19, 1976, in Pomona, Mrs. Martinez was a resident of Yolo County for
15 years. She was a 1994 Woodland High School graduate.  She attended American
River College in Sacramento. She was a manager for Checkmate Staffing for six
years. Among her special joys in life were her daughter and husband. According
to her family members “she loved sewing and knitting projects for her daughter.”

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, Alejandro Martinez; daughter, Alexys
Unika Martinez, both of Davis; parents, Marcos and Margarita Garcia of Woodland;
sisters, Angela Vidalez and husband Rene and Marlyn Garcia and husband Raymond
Echavarria Sr., all of Woodland; grandparents, Alfredo and Senida Rodriguez of
Davis, Carlos and Eufielda Contreras of Woodland and Martin and Margarita Garcia
of Mexico; nephews, Angel Garcia and Ray Echavarria Jr. of Woodland; and
numerous aunts; uncles and cousins.

A vigil service is scheduled at 8 p.m., today Thursday, Jan. 10, at Holy Rosary
Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland.

A funeral mass is scheduled at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11, also at Holy Rosary
Church with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
