Virginia A. McDermott

Virginia A. McDermott died at her Woodland home on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2002, at
the age of 80. Mrs. McDermott was born on April 22, 1921, in Redding to Antone
and Hannah (Casta) Pedro.

Mrs. McDermott is survived by her husband of 55 years, John P. McDermott;
daughters Karen Dewberry and Cheryl Earnest, both of Woodland; sons Mark
McDermott of Elk Grove and Pat McDermott of Woodland; brother Gary Pedro and
wife Betty of Redding; 12 grandchildren, Chanel, Devin and Heather McDermott,
Shea and Ryan Chase, Tim and Christina Earnest, Lisa Aragon, and Toni, Sheila,
Marcy and Tammy Dewberry; nine great grandchildren, Cindy Matthew, Marcos and
Monica Aragon, and Shannon and Joshua Wall.

At her request no services will be held, and memorials to Yolo Hospice are
preferred.

McNary's Chapel of Woodland is assisting the family with the arrangements.
