Jackson, resident of Davis for 36 years, died in Santa Rosa on April 3, 2004. He was 77. Born July 17, 1926, Jackson was a native of Hockerville, Okla., and was a resident of Santa Rosa when he died. He was a heavy equipment operator, manufacturing asphalt for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the International Order of the Moose, Lodge 2260. He will be remembered as a devoted family man who never harbored a bad thought about anyone, his family said. He is survived by daughter Lana Daw of Santa Rosa, son Jerry Jackson and his wife Sherri of Kelseyville, and daughter Vicki Turrentine and her husband Denis of Santa Rosa; stepchildren Terry Turrentine and his wife Nancy of Ohio, Randal Turrentine and his wife Joyce of Canby, Ore., Carla Hudson and her husband Aaron of Suisun, and Craig Turrentine and his wife Debi of Kent, Wash. He also is survived by 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Private services are being held. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Sutter Private VNA Hospice; 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Arrangements are under the care of Santa Rosa Memorial Park and Mortuary.
