Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net June 7, 2004, 4:22 pm "Winters Express," Thursday, April 15, 2004 Charles Schuyler Charles Nicholos Schuyler, 77, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2004 at his Woodland home. Mr. Schuyler was born on Feb. 1, 1927 in Woodland and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed with Marvin Landplane from 1947-1959, prior to Granite Construction where he was a mechanic, for 23 years. He was also a member of Woodland Elks Lodge #1299. He is survived by his son Mark Schuyler, of Carmichael; daughter Jane Urquidez and her husband Danny, of Pollock Pines; brothers George Schuyler, of Woodland and Fred Schuyler of Winters; sisters Agnes Ventura, of Woodland and Earline Mangan of Payette Idaho. He is also survived by his close friend Jane Johnson, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 2000 by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis and a sister, Viola Abbott, in 2001. A graveside celebration of life service was held on Wednesday, April 14, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, in Woodland. Friends were invited to gather at 80 Sand Point Drive, in Woodland following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Kaiser Hospice, 2025 Morse Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95825, in his memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Service, in Woodland.
