Pollock died in Woodland's Alderson Convalescent Hospital Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at age 88. Born March 2, 1913, in Kearney, Neb., Mrs. Pollock had been a Yolo County resident for about 13 years. She was the daughter of the late Myron J. and Sophia Morris. She attended Chillicothe Business College in Missouri and moved to California in 1942. She resided in Richmond until 1989 when she relocated to Woodland. She had served as a transportation clerk at Oakland Naval Supply Center for 25 years before retiring in 1973. According family members, “she and her husband loved to travel throughout the U.S. and also made a trip to China. She enjoyed cooking, was an avid gardener, liked to play bridge, and her favorite activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren.” Mrs. Pollock was survived by her daughter, Jeanette Lenk and husband Raymond of Redding; son, Ted Ronald Pollock of Nebraska; and grandchildren, Heather Bennett Lenk and husband Robert, and Lindsay Frances Pollock, all of Woodland. Also surviving are her sisters, Arlene Clark of Kearney, Neb., and Edna Koon of Portland, Ore.; brothers, George Morris of Kearney, Neb., and Monroe Morris of Portland, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pollock was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Ted R. Pollock; grandson, Richard Allen Pollock; sisters, Marguerite Ayers and Loretta Morris; and brother, Myron Morris. A graveside service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
