Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net and Judith Hinton October 28, 2004, 10:46 pm Woodland "Daily Democrat,” Friday, February 01, 2002 Allen James Hannagan Allen James Hannagan died in Woodland Memorial Hospital Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at age 82. Born Sept. 13, 1919, in Paso Robles, Mr. Hannagan was a native Californian. He was the son of the late Myron J. and Lulu (Betts) Hannagan, who were both native Californians. He had been a Yolo County resident for the last 56 years. He had been employed with A.W. Hays Trucking from which he retired. He was a member of the Local Teamsters Union of Sacramento. According to his family members, "he was an avid reader and during his lifetime he had read the complete works of Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey, as well as numerous other authors who wrote about the glory days of the golden west. Additionally, he loved to travel and camp, and together with his wife, they had traveled to all of the western States, from Mexico to Canada, in 1992 and 1993, visiting the places he had read about in the novels. Another great love was raising cattle and horseback riding." Mr. Hannagan is survived by his wife, Hazel (McAnelly) Hannagan of Woodland; son, Michael Hannagan and wife Barbara of Woodland; grandsons, Allen Hannagan of Linda and Sean Hannagan of Woodland; great-grandson, Shane Hannagan of Linda; sisters, Audrey Matoza, and Blanch Whitfield; and brother, Robert Hannagan. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Feb. 1, at Kraft Bros. Funeral Chapel, 175 Second St., Woodland, with a funeral service scheduled at 1 p.m., also at Kraft Bros. Chapel. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, The Reverend Elmer Prout officiating. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
