Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net and Judith Hinton November 1, 2004, 10:00 pm Woodland "Daily Democrat," Thursday, February 07, 2002 Elmer Robinson Elmer Robinson died in Alderson Convalescent Hospital, Woodland, Saturday, Feb. 3, 2002, at age 88. Born June 1, 1915, a native of Woodland, Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Charles and Alma (Frances) Robinson. He served in the U.S. Army at Guada Canal during the Pacific Theatre of World War II, where he received the Purple Heart. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, and the American Legion. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Alma (Evans) Robinson of Woodland; sisters, Rhoda Fish and Olive Puerner; and brother, David Robinson of Woodland. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Robinson; sisters, Lucy Dole, Bessie Barlow, Emma Pierce, Florence Robinson, Louise Lewis, and Maybell Altpeter; and brothers, Frank, Charles, Raymond, George, Edward, and James Robinson. No visitation is scheduled. A graveside service is scheduled at 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, with The Reverend Henry Scherer presiding. Military honors will be held with interment at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
