Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net and Judith Hinton November 1, 2004, 10:05 pm Woodland "Daily Democrat," Friday, February 08, 2002 Ilene Jeanette Means Matthews Ilene Jeanette Means Matthews died at the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at the age of 54. She was born in Alameda on April 13, 1947 to the late Lawrence and Zelda Means. Mrs. Matthews was a resident of Dillon Beach for the past 14 years. She was a member of the Woodland High School Class of 1965 and received her Associate Arts degree from American River College. Mrs. Matthews was the assistant manager at the Faculty Club in Davis for eight years until 1988. Mrs. Matthews and her husband moved to Dillon Beach in 1989 and she opened her own deli "Country Delight" in Tomales. Mrs. Matthews loved living at the beach according to her family. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Matthews is survived by her husband of 21 years Thomas Matthews of Dillon Beach. Daughters, Tammy Guidi of Vacaville, Kerry Sherard and Melissa Guidi, both of Woodland. Grandchildren, Eric Pearson and Jayce Pearson both of Vacaville, Ryan Kuehnau, Alex Kuehnau, Dylan Pascual and Cody Montoya, all of Woodland and Courtney Pearson of Illinois. Sisters, Janene Ramos and Erin Means Reynoso, both of Winters. Brother Mike Means of Woodland. Nephew Jacob Means of Reno. Nieces, Jenny Rodriguez, Lisa Ruport, Ilene and Allie Reynoso all of Winters. Visitation will be held at McNary's Chapel from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002. The funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 at McNary's Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Monument Hill Memorial Park. The family would prefer memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1905 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
