Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net June 11, 2004, 2:59 pm "Winters Express," Thursday, January 22, 2004 Stevee Ann Ries Stevee Ann Ries, one of God's littlest angels, passed away in her sleep at the age of 7 on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, in her home in Phoenix, Arizona. Stevee was born in Phoenix on April 29, 1996. She lived in Winters briefly, as a tiny infant, then moved to Sacramento with her parents. After only spending two short years in California, the family relocated back to Phoenix, where she resided until her appointment with our Lord. Although Stevee was severely challenged at birth with Cerebral Palsy, she was bright and alert and always welcomed the world with wide eyes. We are at peace with a warm and soft heart that Stevee is now in the hands of our Lord, safe and no longer in any pain. We know that now she is the whole person that God intended her to be and that she will walk among golden fields and play with all the other children in heaven. We think of the song, "I Believe I Can Fly," when we think of our Stevee. Now she can fly as she has earned her wings. We will all miss her sweet smile and the twinkle in her eyes when she looked at us. We were blessed to have her presence for the brief time that the Lord felt necessary. Her mission is complete. Stevee is survived by her father Steven Ries, of Winters; mother Sherri Ries of Phoenix; sisters Danielle Ries, of Winters and Amber Williams, of Phoenix; paternal grandparents David and Janice Marshall, of Winters; maternal grandparents Donna Mosqueda, of Phoenix and Steven Horton of Phoenix; great-grandmothers Virginia Tenney of Sandpoint, Idaho, Mary Jo Lowery, of Phoenix; aunts and uncles Tina and Mike Penoff, of Winters, Joe and Shannon Ries of Esparto, Floyd Parr and Wayne Horton, both of Phoenix, Phaedra and Shane Moon, of Yelm, Washington, Doug Kelleher, of Stafford, Arizona and great-aunt Sandy Colvin of Rancho Cordova; cousins Robin Keller and Phaedra Crozier, of Winters, and Paxton and Tyler Moon, of Yelm, Washington; and many extended cousins and great-aunts and uncles. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Winters. Although there were few in Winters who actually knew Stevee, friends of the family are invited to pay their respects and help celebrate her short life here with us.
