Alta Marie Eveland

Alta Marie Eveland died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at Cottonwood Healthcare in
Woodland. She was 95 years of age.

Mrs. Eveland was born on Aug. 16, 1906 in Mitchell, Nebraska to Elvert and Emma
(Merkle) Ballew. Mrs. Eveland was a resident of Woodland since 1945.

Mrs. Eveland was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Eveland. Mrs. Eveland
is survived by her daughters, Bernadine Fornesi of San Bruno, Willadean
Bagdasarian of Sacramento, stepson, Bob and his wife Terri Eveland of Dunsmuir
and step daughter Marlene Stout of Davis. Mrs. Eveland is also survived by six
grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

According to her family, Alta, also known as "Molly," was a wonderful cook and
loved having her family around her. Mrs. Eveland was known for her family get
togethers and gatherings.

Friends are invited to attend the grave side service scheduled to be held on
Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Monument Hill Memorial Park. Memorial
contributions may be made to the SPCA or charity of the donor's choice. McNary's
Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements
