Perazzo pbperazzo@comcast.net June 16, 2004, 11:55 am "The Davis Enterprise," Tuesday, June 15, 2004 Isaac Fletes Jr. Isaac Fletes Jr. of Esparto died June 6, 2004. He was 33. A Woodland native, he lived in Yolo County his entire life. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1988, and worked for The Carpet Dealer/Carpet One in Woodland for 16 years. He was active on the rodeo circuit as a bull rider. He turned professional in 1992 and, in 1996, won a state title in bull riding from the International Professional Rodeo Association. He also belonged to the Professional Cowboys Rodeo Association and North Western Pro Rodeo Association, participating in events in California, Colorado, Arizona and Oregon before retiring from the sport in 2000. He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Fletes Sr., founder of Los Carros Caporales, traditional style of rodeo of Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Samantha, of Esparto; mother Maria Elena Soltero of Woodland; sisters Sara Banderas of Sacramento, Rosa Gonzalez of Tracy and Maria Elena Fletes of Woodland; and brothers Elias Arreola of Woodland and Arturo Fletes of Esparto. An evening vigil is scheduled for Monday, June 14, at 6 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial will held Tuesday at 10 a.m., with internment to follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35038 County Road 22, in Woodland.
