Hanson Moore, a Davis native, died following a battle with a series of illnesses, including emphysema and pneumonia, on March 31, 2004, at Sutter Davis Hospital. She was 67. She was born Jan. 5, 1937, to Delmar and Pearl Hanson, and attended Davis schools. Her family remembers her as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She enjoyed reading romance novels. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law Lester and Mary Hanson of Davis, Wilbur and Janet Hanson of Oregon, Donnie and Norma Hanson of Red Bluff and Leona Hanson of Davis; her former husband, Don "Dago" Moore of Oroville, with whom she remained friends; sons Donnie, Jon and Billy Moore of Woodland; and daughter Jan Hopkins of Davis. She also is survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren are Traci Roller and Tommy Moss; Anna, Billy, Ashley and Aleah Moore; and John and Mark Hopkins. Her great-grandchildren are James Moss and Kerryne Moore. Her family is grateful to the staff at Sutter Davis Hospital for kindness and unconditional support. No service will be held. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
