Matthew James Hayes

Matthew James Hayes died in Yuba City as a result of injuries received in an
automobile accident Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at age 17.

Born Feb. 12, 1985, in Woodland, Matthew has been a Marysville resident for 16
years. He was a high school student.

Matthew is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lynda and Ronald Simpson of
Marysville; father, Darrell W. Lane of Winters; sisters, Megan Lane and Hannah
Lane, both of Winters; brothers, Justin Hayes of Marysville, and Eli Lane of
Winters; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Clarke of Winters; maternal grandmother,
Joan Rodriguez of Winters; and maternal and stepgrandparents, Janes and Virginia
Simpson of Oroville.

A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 7, at New Life
Assembly in Marysville, with the Rev. Al Moody officiating.

Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park, Marysville.

The family requests memorials be directed to the trust fund set in the name of
Matthew J. Hayes at Feather River State Bank, 700 E. St., Marysville. Friends
may call at Lipp & Sullivan Chapel today Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m.

Lipp & Sullivan Funeral Directors of Marysville is assisting the family with
arrangements.
