Pat Elva Mae Murgia

Pat Elva Mae Murgia died in Woodland Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at age 70.

Born Nov. 12, 1933 in Missouri, Mrs. Murgia was the daughter of Lou Ella
Griffin. She married Pete Murgia and the couple lived in Chico before settling
in Esparto. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Pete Murgia of Esparto; daughters, Silvia Murgia
of Paradise, Charlotte Shields of Chico and Margaret Alvarez of Marysville;
sons, Dennis Bennett of Oregon; Charles Bethard of Oregon, Rodney Bethard of
Colusa and Ben Shields of Chico; stepsons, Tracy and Paul Murgia, both of Chico;
sisters, Judy Creamer of Esparto and Darlene Brown of Oroville; brother, Mike
Wagner of Indiana; 27 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eagles Memorial Fund in care of
Newton-Bracewell Chico Funeral Home. Pat's obituary may be viewed and

Services: Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Clear
Creek Cemetery.
